Venezia - the floating city

Thursday, March 3, 2011

Well, this is a shame. I just have time to post our travel story trip to Italy. I have planned and designed this holiday months before my wife came from Indonesia. We just got lucky because Ryan Air launched a promo only 7 € to Venice. In total, I paid about 60 € go and back for all three of us.

So here the story goes…

On Thursday 17.02.2011, Ryan Air brought us to Venice in time. Approximately one hour 30 minutes we landed in Treviso, a connecting airport to Venice. From here we took a bus heading to Venice with ticket costs 5 €/ person. About an hour finally arrived in Venice.

SO here we were, on the Venice city. A city which was built on 117 small islands, about 150 canals flow through the city centre, and about 400 bridges spanning over the channel. Here you MUST use your foot, because all the city's main sights are within walking distance of each other. Or you can use Pavaretto or water bus.
