The Palace of Versailles - France

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Paris 5 - We were heading Palace of Versailles, or usually called the Château de Versailles. Actually, initially I was not too interested to get here, because we have to travel out about 45 minutes from the City of Paris. But, one of my friend really recommended this place. So, we just take the chance. But, suddenly just feel terrible when we arrived we have to joint into the very long queue.

After making the long line, we paid the tickets costs13.50 EUR per person (my son is free). There is also a ticket to enter the park (costs about 8 EUR), but we decided to enter only the palace. They provide headsets which explain detailed information, but we did not take it. Because I have to carry my son since stroller can not get in.

Once entered, my assumption proved wrong, this palace is very very very interesting. Does not stop me chuckle amazed at the grandeur of the building, which frankly is beyond my reasoning. The Château de Versailles was indeed included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site aka the world's cultural heritage. Again, how lucky us!

Musée du Louvre - Paris

Paris 4 - We visited Musée du Louvre. We bought daily ticket called Mobilis Ticket Zone 1-4 costs 9.60 EURO per person, in the locket. Then we used Metro M4 direction Porte de Clignancourt, stop at the Chatelet Station then take M1 direction La Defense and stop at Palais Royal Musee du Louvre station. The second place that became our target in Paris is the . This building is the largest national museums in France, and is also the most visited museums in the world. Hmmm .. How lucky!

To explore the contents of this "pyramid museum", we had to buy a ticket for 9 EUR, and is valid for 3 hours. The museum is divided into three wings, Denon, Sully and Richelieu. So really not enough time with just three hours hehehe ..But, we have no worries, we already have a note what to visit.

The most impressive is the museum which located in the former Palace of the Louvre was built in the late 12th century by King Philip II. The museum officially opened on August 10, 1793 with a display around 537 paintings. Today, nearly 35.000 display materials. Incredible!

Of the many objects on display, there is one of the most attractive to visitors and have to wait long to be the most forward position. Yes, the famous painting "Mona Lisa". The painting is in the Denon Wing 1st Floor Room 6.

Although many people crammed, fortunately we were wrong entry point and not too taken by officers because we brought the stroller. So, please not jealous to see my picture below...

the Eiffel Tower - Paris

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Paris 2 - Setelah dari basilica, kita langsung menuju the Arc de Triomphe.
